I have a deep passion to travel the world, to encounter all of the unbelievably and beautifully diverse people, to learn and become immersed in their culture, and in some way contribute back. Health and life are two things important to all people that transcend race, ethnicity, culture, and country. Life is the most precious thing we are given and it is finite, but to strive for it to be lived out to the fullest and longest is something everyone desires. It has become painfully obvious to me in the past several years the disparity in healthcare across the globe. Countless foreign countries simply do not have access to viable medical care. A career in the medical field would allow me to offer that care, to be that help that every human being deserves. To attain this dream, I will need to finish my undergraduate at Baylor in the next three years with a Medical Humanities major, during that time I will need to take and score well on the MCAT. From there I will move on to a medical school where I plan to either focus on obstetrics or general medicine. Afterwards, I will go into a fellowship, then after completing these ten years minimum of schooling, I will work to find a position on a team of doctors traveling abroad.
