When I was younger and thought about my future, I never once thought of money. I always saw myself as “being happy.” I didn’t know what this meant to me at the time, but I knew that I would do something that made me come home at the end of the day and say “Wow I made a difference today.” I’m twenty-one years old today and as the years have gone by, I now realize what this means to me- living every moment with passion.
The things I am most passionate about in life are my family, science, and helping those that need it. Fortunately for me, my passions line up with the career path I have chosen- Medicine. If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would be a physician who travels the world to underserved areas to provide medical attention.
Specific goals I have set to make this dream a reality are maintaining a high gpa, taking my MCAT exam, and then applying to medical school. While I cannot afford to travel around the world right now, I still try to help others by volunteering locally in my community.
I believe that fulfilling my goals to become a physician would not only benefit the people I am able to serve, but also inspire others to live their life with the same passion, whether or not our passions are the same. I believe it is this passion that will change the world around us.
