The roles of the President include Commander-in-Chief, Chief Executive, Chief Diplomat, Legislative Leader and Leader of his political party. He is a symbolic leader of our country. As chief of state, the President has many ceremonial duties: promoting worthy causes, recognizing citizens who have made outstanding contributions to their nation and bestows medals on military heroes. The President is the leader, initiator, and guide of our foreign policy. This role that is significant in the democracy of the US has not been filled by a woman. As a feminist I would love to change the world by becoming the first African-American female President of the US. I have already begun my journey of turning that dream into a reality. I’m studying Politics at NYU and once I graduate in 2016. I will go on to Law School to study constitutional law. I want to connect all the different parts of my life and give them back to the community that gave birth to me.
