I love to write.
Nothing makes me happier than the rush I get after I finish writing a really great chapter or when I find the right word to leave a sentence standing out in the mind of the reader. So when I saw the essay topic, writing immediately came to mind. What better way to spend the rest of my life than just allowing my creativity to flow through me?
Reading has honestly changed my life. I can remember coming home after a really long and hard day of school and being able to escape in the world the was created by Judy Blume or by Margaret Peterson Haddix. Their beautiful minds created a world that wasn’t perfect but it allowed me a place to go when I felt lost, confused or alone. This is why I would want to write for a living. I want to be the reason someone has an escape. I believe my works can inspire people to dream and actually believe that they can be whatever they set their mind to.
Putting human emotion into words is no simple task, yet I have a skill that allows me to do so. I will encourage that skill to grow much like a gardener does the plants in his garden. There is something beautiful about the doors that open when one begins to read and if I am able to be the key that opens that door, my goal will be reached.
