Music is a universal language. Music inspires, and music moves. When we can’t speak, music speaks for us. Music is mysterious. My dream is to discover all of the mysteries of music, and teach these wonders to others. I am majoring in Music Education to accomplish this dream.
The mysteries of music are endless. We stop and stare when a pianists fingers fly across the keys and we are filled with wonder. The bow sliding ever so gently across the strings of a violin whispers something in our ear. It’s a mystery. The audience in the room all will hear the same whisper and we all will applaud when the whisper ends and the performer bows, but only musicians know the language.
The language of music is beautiful. It heals, it comforts, it’s a friend, and a partner for life. Music brings hope, and praises. Music grabs you and never lets go. And I, I am captured. I am captured in music’s grip not wanting to be released. I play more and more, every day wanting to hear more and more of the story music tells. I can’t stop playing my flute, the piano, the saxophone and the drums. Instruments are part of my family. They each tell me something new and I am listening. I am answering music’s call to fuel the fire. I am going to bring hope and healing in a unique and positive way to others through music. This is my passion.
