In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, I must be the change I wish to see in the world. I have to start with becoming the person I want to be first if I want to have a positive impact on the world. If I changed then my friends and family would start to change and eventually this could ripple across my city, state, and country. If I could become a highly talented, creative, and skilled professional musician, I would be doing it for my own enjoyment and fulfillment, and then anyone around me listening would receive an better energy to live off of by proxy. All my favorite musicians were playing their songs because of the absorbing interest in hearing the sound, not for the betterment of mankind, and it’s because of this attitude, ironically enough, that they did impact the world by injecting pleasure through music into people’s lives. My goals are to release my solo album by the end of the school year, give music instruction, and play live concerts to give people experiences where they get to live fully in the present moment.
