What I love the most is learning, ever since I was young my parents always told me that I was naturally curious and enjoyed encountering new opportunities, this has helped shape who I am today. I was the nerd who loved to be in the classroom and constantly asked why. I have discovered my passion for medicine in high school through the UNMC High School Alliance program. I hope to become a physician because I will be able to continuously learning new techniques and information about intricate workings of the human body. Our understanding of ourselves is growing and evolving I hope to contribute to this goal by conducting research on degenerative neurological diseases so I can contribute to the fight against neurological diseases. I would also like to teach medicine later in my career to high school students, because that is how I developed my love for medicine and I would like the generations after me to have that experience. I have so far kept track of my goal to maintain above a 3.9 GPA and shadowing in order to get into medical school and I am currently seeking volunteer opportunities in my local area so I can continue to give back.
