Succeeding in my career is easier when I do something I love and even more so when it’s something that I am good at. If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would be Construction Manager. I know what everyone says “You’re a girl, why would you want to do construction?” I answered by saying because I am motivated, focus, and know what I wanted to in life. With that stuck in my head, I’ve wanted to be everything; a doctor, lawyer, fireman and a police officer. Once I got to high school all of that changed. My major was Carpentry. I noticed I loved being hands on. I could really see myself being in construction. With hard work and dedication I know I can be. In order to achieve this goal, I have to going to college and get my BA and Master degrees in Architecture Engineering, because one day I will own my company.
In my life I want to help make a difference in cities, states, and countries around the world. I want to show people no matter the area you live in; I will be able to help restore it. My goal will is to make an impact on every community and people that I go into. Have you notice that construction work around you? How long have it took them to complete it? Almost a 2 month right? I figured. The way I want my Construction Business to go once we start on something my time period to have it fix it 5 weeks (depending on how big the projects are). I want people to know my company will do an excellent job, mean business, and will always to quality work. Even if we get a job done before the deadline, we did not cut corners to get it completed. This is not only just something I love doing, this is a Dream. This year would make is my second year working at a construction company. I can honestly tell you, I have acquirer a lot of skills and knowledge from my carpentry high school class and the people that I work with at the construction company I work at. Therefore I realize that have must know my strengths and weaknesses, establish what my goals and objectives are and prepare myself. In other words I must believe in myself, have dedication, pride and never quit, then I will be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.-Paul Bryant
