I am a student of Mass Communication. In other words, I posses the knowledge to discover, analyze, interpret, and deliver a wealth of information. The quintessential element of Mass Communication is understanding. People often condemn or denounce subjects or beings that they typically do not understand. For this reason, we face many conflicts, disagreements, wars, and adversities. However, not understanding something or someone does not eradicate it’s validity, importance, or existence. John Steinbeck stated, “Try to understand men. If you understand each other you will be kind to each other. Knowing a man well never leads to hate and almost always leads to love.” Therefore, I seek to explore the depths and investigate the heights of people, stories, and life to help deliver different perspectives, interpretations, and viewpoints that ultimately lead to understanding. Peace comes through understanding. I, therefore, aim to bypass bias, refute falsification, avoid negativity, denounce propaganda, disprove stereotypes, and eradicate impractical ideology to promote objectivity, maintain transparency, and convey truth through context and understanding. I strive to educate others on subjects, people, and lifestyles that are uncomfortable, foreign, and strange to them. I attempt to explore stories and situations that are generally uneasy, unpleasant, and distressing, yet, repulsive profound, substantial, meaningful, and relevant. Truth and understanding aren’t always beautifully wrapped but are nevertheless cautiously powerful. Thorough exploration of Mass Communication results in the rapid dissemination, instant gratification, and prevalent delivery of change to the diverse masses. This scholarship will assist me in changing the world by helping them understand it.
