Humans are the only creatures on this earth who have developed the ability to write. Not only can we write, but ever since we developed this ability we have been perfecting and beautifying it with each passing century. Language is beautiful both in its simplicity and in its complexities and it fascinates me. I love reading all different sorts of texts and analyzing them as well as trying my hand at creating my own unique styles and stories. There is no human creation richer than the vast library we have routinely collected and lost over the centuries about everything that exists and that may never exist. There is no other source that succeeds in defining human hearts, dreams, and our very existence.
If I could earn a living doing anything I wanted, I would want to do so by immersing myself into the study of literature and writing; I would study ancient texts of all cultures and newer writings as well, in hopes of not only enjoying stories, but also in hopes of improving my understanding and teaching others the history of humans and our development. I believe that it is impossible to truly understand humans as a race without first knowing where we came from and the path we followed to get where we are today. In our school systems, history courses are considered the least important “core” subject and in often under taught. English is generally only taught in grammatical terms and not for its beauty. I would want to change that.
