As a musician and an artist, I am a healer. It’s not your conventional healer similar to what doctors and surgeons are, it’s different in that we heal something that is intangible, something that I feel like almost no one else can touch. It’s the human soul. Each note, each brush stroke, each word, they all affect people. We empathize and sympathize with our audience, we can lift their spirits and leave them in a good mood when they leave our presence or keep them on their natural high just by presenting them the fruits of our labor for them to enjoy.
I will be attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the coming weeks, one of the most influential art schools in the world. i already am rushing towards the end goal. I will use the resources that are given to me at school like business connections, or my professors, to help get my artwork out into the hands of the public by gallery exhibitions or commissions. I believe that through hard work, that even though at the end of the day it may seem like I didn’t accomplished much, but there will be an accumulative effect to what I do and it will eventually snowball over if I just stick to it.
It will not be easy, but it is certainly something I will enjoy doing for years to come.
