“If you do something you love you will never work a day in your life.” That saying may be cliché but it explains why time flies when you’re having fun and why seconds feel like hours when you’re doing something you find boring. If I could earn a living doing what I love the most it would definitely be helping at risk teenagers. Some teens deal with a lot of adversity and others have made bad decisions. Helping them would impact the world because they are the future.
Teenage years can be a rough time period. I know this because I had a rough time coming up and if it wasn’t for the help I received, I don’t know where I’d be. Teenagers have energy, passion, and ambition so helping them channel that into something positive would eventually benefit the world. The road to success is not straight and smooth, there will be bumps and turns along the way. I overcame a lot so showing teens that they too can overcome is something I would do every day free of charge.
My primary goal would be to start a program that provides teenagers with ways to improve their lives through methods other than sports or music. It would have counselors, resources, student-run community service projects, college scholarships, and it would teach job skills. Being able to run a program like this would be a dream job. I would be changing the world by changing the future leaders of the world.
