I would love to teach about teaching. I had a physics professor in high school that stands out in my mind as an outstanding teacher. There are five major ideas he represents in my mind that I wish to instill in others. First love teaching, second love the subject, third see people not as they are but as they can become, fourth enjoy when others succeed, and last have a desire for your students to develop a love of learning. If we could all become better teachers we could help others become their best selves which would in turn create a better world for us to live in. I love to teach. When I am learning new skills, ideas, or perspectives I am anxious and imagine how to convey what I have learned to others. There is so much potential to make a difference by serving others by taking the time to help people acquire the skills and knowledge for success. I feel like if we could have teachers that have the attitude and desire to teach that it could change the world’s perspective on learning. I would bring this about by getting a degree in teaching, becoming a teacher and then moving into higher education to instruct future teachers. I also would consider writing a book sharing my insights and studies on how to better improve the teaching process.
