If I could make a living doing what I love it would be being a high school English teacher. My goal in life every day is to do whatever I can to help the people I come into contact with in some way. I believe being a teacher is the best way to do that. If I can help each child feel that they are capable of accomplishing whatever their dream is, they will feel confident enough to take the steps to reach their goals. This will make a huge impact on the world. If teens feel that they have someone on their side, and they have something to work towards, suicide rates would drop, there would be less violence, and much more would be accomplished. An extreme example would be a child who wants to be a doctor or researcher but does not feel that that dream is within his or her grasp, an effective teacher will help that student realize that they are capable of more than they know and that student might go on to make miraculous medical discoveries. This may sound like a leap, but I whole-heartedly believe teachers can make the biggest difference in the world, and that is what I plan on doing. I am a student at York College of Pennsylvania, and I am already on my way of making this dream come true. I need to successfully finish out my Bachelor’s Degree and find the right location for me.
