To whom it may concern:

My name is Kendria Brown; I am currently a Senior Nursing Student at Coppin State University. I am expected to graduate December of 2014 from the Helen Fuld School of nursing. My goal is to become an Air force Critical Care Nurse and in two years further my education by going back to school to complete my masters. I then plan to teach at a Nursing school to give back to the community the education that I received. I hope that my contribution in the health field will impact the lives of individuals that I care for and over all improve the health of solders and communities. I plan on doing this by using the knowledge that I obtained from this nursing program and from my prior experience. I hope that one day I can mentor young girls to persuade them to get their education and to continue to further their education. I believe empowering the younger community will help to make the world a better place. Through this journey of pursuing my educational goal I have faced some challenges. I never gave up and I continued to strive to work towards my childhood goal of becoming a nurse. Now I realized that this was a process that I had to go through in order to prepare me for the career that I am about to enter. Now that I am a senior, I face the challenge of not having the finances to complete my last semester. I hope that I am considered for a candidate for this award

Sincerely,

Kendria Brown
