If there were one thing that I could do to change the world, it would be to provide a helping hand. I’ve always had an idea for helping those in need, being that I know what less fortunate people face every day. I would like to open a homeless shelter that’s free for those that need it. Inside, there would be a kitchen and cafeteria, enough to support 700. Upstairs there would be bedrooms for all of the residents to sleep. We would have rehabilitation meetings and areas for those that need to get clean for a fresh start. Also, they would have to attend English, Math, Reading, and Writing classes that are all paid for. Job Placement would be another top priority for our company, once the residents are ready. We would then dress them up, and provide transportation to a job site where he/she would have an interview. Once he/she obtain a job, he/she may still live in the home until he/she has made enough to live on his/her own. So many homeless people are put down and underestimated because of their conditions. I’ve always believed that everyone deserves a second chance in life, especially if it were something as sad as losing a home, car, money, family, etc. You never know, a homeless person could be your next supervisor. I wish I had the money to support this idea. This is something that I’ve always wanted to do from the kindness of my heart, with no pay.
