My dream job would be a pediatric surgeon at Cure ministries in either the Dominican Republic or Malawi. There I would be able to help sick and disabled children that cannot afford their operations. I have always had a passion for the sciences and childcare, with this job I would not have to pick and choose. After working there in the Dominican this past summer I was able to see the true impact that this organization is making in the lives of kids. Nothing is more rewarding than the smiling faces of families that are no longer ashamed of their child’s disability. I want to make a difference and this scholarship can put me one step closer to that goal. Currently I am a freshman at Hillsdale College who is pursuing a bachelors of science in biology. From there I plan to attend Medical School. With piles of debt already accruing and a dream job of working as a full time volunteer I know that the pocketbook will be tight. Yet, I could not think of a job I’d rather do. Please check out Cure International if you are interested in getting involved. I promise that you will not regret it.
