Today, our students in primary and secondary schools are the new technological generation that encounters enormous amount of instant information from around the globe. My future role as Special Education Educator and mentor for a “Student Awake,” non-profit organization would educate students on social, economic, and cultural principles towards a better civilized society and resourceful environment of our planet. Strange as it seems, we have seen the last four-thousand years of human history as injurious and repetitious with all its turmoil and wars. Hence, our students today from all over the glove have social media which can diminish and influence behavior that encompasses mutual understanding and human interaction.
Perhaps, instead of technology and social media being used for profits and political influence within our culture, we can use it for understanding each other’s views and ideology across the globe. First, students would learn to communicate effectively and safely using digital media on the World Wide Web. Secondly, I would use video conferencing to interact with educators across the world. As such, students will have the ability to learn and communicate with students from all backgrounds and social lifestyles. In the end, this new technological generations of today would hopefully learn and appreciate a variety of new ideas and thoughts from students across the planet.
In consequence, this new generation of students will forever change the course of human history by having the ability to communicate effectively and positively over the World Wide Web.
