I love doing a lot of things, but one thing I love doing is picking up stray animals off the street. I know that sound crazy, but it literally hurts my heart to see a poor helpless animal with no food or shelter. I ask why can’t people be more like me and just take a stray in? That is because most people see them as dirty, or mean. They don’t see that the animal is just homeless, of course he will be dirty, he might be a little mean – he’s hungry, scared, and lost. That is why I would pick them up, feed them, bathe them, and train them. Then I will put him up for adoption to a good home. I would make home visits to make sure they are really in a reliable home. Not only would this help the animals by making them happy and healthy, but also it could help medically. Less strays means less animal diseases, a lower percentage of rabies, Cat scratch, Ringworm’s; all these diseases and more can be transferred to humans from animals, some of them may even be deadly. Another medical option animals can help with is: Therapy. I know from finding my two pet soul-mates, it became easier to battle my depression. Some people do not like to admit their problems, but do search for something to better their issues, and instead of looking for drugs, I can promote pets, long term pets, and pet therapy does guarantee happiness.
