All my life I have been around sports and fitness. Sports have made me who I am today. Some of the qualities I have obtained through sports include honesty, commitment, teamwork, trust, responsibility, and leadership. All of these qualities and my interest in strength training have made me want to become a strength coordinator. I believe if I had the opportunity to become a strength coach I would not disappoint because of my character, determination, and work ethic. I am currently a member of the Dakota Wesleyan University Women’s basketball team which has helped me further my knowledge in strength training amongst the athletic population.
Most people would think a strength coordinator could only help those involved in sports. However, I think a sports coordinator can influence society to live a healthy lifestyle. As a sports coordinator my plans are to develop workouts and fitness plans for athletes, but also for the public. My main focus would be helping the athletes make maximal gains in their performances, but I would also focus on creating a healthier lifestyle for non-athletes. This job would change the world by reducing the increase in the weight epidemic across the globe and providing athletic enhancement. Another way my occupation would change the world is by proving women can become strength coaches too. I hope if I do become a strength coach I can influence women who believe they don’t have a chance at this occupation to try again and pursue this career.
