From a young age I had a hunger to see the world, to partake in daring adventures, experience new cultures, and discover and witness the beauty this earth holds. As I’ve grown, this hunger has only escalated and has become a burning passion. My ultimate passion, however, is for a man. This man Jesus. He saved me. From darkness He took me and into light He carried me. Oh, how great the Father’s love that He would look down on a failure and one condemned such as myself and call me daughter, call me beloved. It is this same love that I have been shown that has stirred my heart and magnified my desire to go. There are billions of people who need to be shown this very love. The one who gave His life so that all could live has placed this longing in my heart to go and demonstrate this very full and healing love. It is because of this calling on my life I have decided to pursue a career in nursing. While working in Hospitals in the United States is something I know I will enjoy, my dream is to work in Medical Missions, traveling to the most desperate of places where I can bring light and hope when there seems to be none. It is my hope and my wish that being accepted and studying at the Texas A&M School of Nursing will be the next step in making this a reality.
