If I could earn a living doing what I love the most, it would be advocating for children that are being neglected and mis-treated in the United States and around the world. It is also my belief, because we are in a different era, with different values, this is the reason why there is such a low value on human life and low standards in the way children are being nurtured and raised today.
Looking back at the 1980’s which would be my early childhood era, and then fast forwarding ahead to 2014, there is so much change and advancement that is visible with the world we live in. Instead of face to face contact, children are technology driven and are basically raising themselves. Children in poor communities are not the only children that being neglected or mis-treated, there are children with financial stability that are being neglected and mis-treated as well. It is my opinion, that if the mindset and mentality of both the parents and children of today, was changed to that of those who lived in the era of say the 1960’s to the 1980’s era life would be better appreciated and the standards of wanting excellence would be set at a high.
The goal that I have already set in my quest for a better future for children is to do my part, through advocating, educating and nurturing.
