My greatest ambition is to become an engineer. This has been my ambition since I graduated from high school, and recently I have decided on what type of engineer I would like to be. Chemical engineering really ignites a passion in me for it combines physics and chemistry which are my two favorite subjects.
What I would love to do with this career is go and work in a nuclear power plant. With this I could help ensure that the plant remains safe for all those that work at the plant and those who live around it. I would also do my best to ensure the plant worked in the cleanest way possible that would protect the environment. Another thing I could do with chemical engineering is work at an oil company. Once again my main goal would be to ensure the environment was as unaffected as possible from the oil drills or refineries.
In order to achieve these goals I would ensure that the companies are not releasing chemicals into the ocean or soil that would damage the ecosystem. With the help of engineers the catastrophe that occurred in Chernobyl would have been much worse. Several people gave their lives to prevent the incident, however the damage was still immense. While I hope I never have to give my life I would dedicated it to ensure people were safe.
