If I could make a living doing what I love then I would create little worlds for all of the characters begging me to write their stories. That is my way of saying that I would become a writer. For centuries books have taught us not only how people thought and behaved in the past, but also what humans dream for the future. They help to teach our children morals and they can cross cultural boundaries. My stories may affect the world by changing the thinking of one person. In order to make my dream a reality I make sure that I write every day in order to improve my writing skills. Next I have recently gone back to school with a major in English. By studying great authors of the past I learn what is necessary in order to connect with a reader. I am also gaining the grammatical skills needed for my profession.
I have another dream of teaching the younger generations to appreciate literature. The steps that I am taking in order to accomplish my goal to become a writer also follow the same path to help me complete my goal of becoming a college professor. Doing only one of these things will not be enough which is why I mentioned both. They will both enable me to open the minds of others and help them to see things from a different perspective.
