I choose to be a Registered Nurse. It would change the world because I will do my best to educate patients, families and caregivers on living a fulfilling life. I currently work as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, California and I help my patients in getting in and out of bed, repositioning them every two hours or less, as well as toileting and ambulating. At this moment I am enrolled in the Vocational Nursing Program at Mira Costa College. Once I complete this program, I plan on applying to the Step-Up Program at stated college and become a Registered Nurse. I then plan to attend a four-year university and obtain my Bachelor Degree in Nursing. Once in the career of nursing I hope to become certified in Wound Ostomy Care Nurse. I hope to be able to educate families and caregivers on how they can help their loved one or patient in continuous mobility and repositioning in order to prevent pressure ulcers. I hope to be able to complete these goals in a timely manner.
