As a child I believe the one thing you hate to see is your parents struggle to keep a roof over your head. They work hard to provide for their family. After my parents got a divorce my mom life got turned upside down. She was on her own financially trying to raise two teenagers and a newborn. All she had was a high school education. She battled to pay all types of bills but the one that stuck out to me the most was my baby sister’s daycare fees. I never realized how much it cost to send a child to daycare for a few of hours. My mom would miss work some days because she couldn’t afford to send my sister to daycare that week. As I watch my mom go through this trouble I told myself that when I grow up I would make it my duty to open an affordable 24 hour daycare. According to www.babycenter.com the monthly cost for daycare is $972. I believe if I could open a couple daycare in some of the lower income communities.. It will enable parents to be able to better themselves. Single parents that wish to start back going to school can drop their kids off when they have to go to class. The daycare would just be the corner piece of the puzzle that will help open many other opportunities for parents in the community.
