There are many rewarding careers one can go into, but becoming a police officer is my dream job. The hurdles of the training a person will go through makes them the person who might save a life one day. Being a police officer has its perks and downs. The downs are that it is extremely dangerous, long hours of work, and having to work holidays. The perks of being a police officer are getting to protect the people in the city, doing something different everyday, and knowing the value of hard work. My goals to make this happen are to get an internship with a local police department, get my body physically prepared for the police academy, and graduate college with my degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice. To make my dream and reality will require an extreme amount of work, but I am ready to make this my life of being in law enforcement. I believe that I would do great and make changes in the community. Helping people is my passion and drive to become a better person.
