If I could earn a living doing what I love most it would be becoming a physical therapist. Most people would say a doctor, lawyer, or a police officer but that’s just not me. I’m an athlete and I love being around sports whether its watching or playing them. My sophomore year of high school, I got injured and wasn’t able to play for the remainder of the season.I had a tear in my knee and had to get surgery. After weeks of recovery from surgery I had to go to physical therapy. It took many months for me to get back in shape and on the court again. Physical therapy helped me to be able to play again and without it I don’t think any recovering player or person would recover properly. They take a huge role in athletes lives and without these therapists then athletes mobility and ability to function will be damaged. They might not be able to ever play the game they love anymore and that can be very depressing to someone. Ever since my injury, I wanted to become a physical therapist and make sure that everyone can get multiple chances at living life without having to use a wheelchair and crutches. I’m going to college, getting my degree, and pursuing a career in physical therapy. I want to be able to give back to my community by helping anyone who is recovering whether its an athlete or someone who is temporarily disabled.
