If I could earn a living doing what I love, it would be to travel. Ideally, I would live in each place that I go to for a few months; long enough to make it feel like home. In that time I would learn as much as I could about the culture there and what life is like for those who live there permanently. This would be an ideal life for me because I love exploring new places and learning about lifestyles that are radically different from my own. I think that everyone should travel if given the opportunity, because it opens up our eyes to the difficulties others face as well as learning different ways of doing things. Sometimes those who haven’t experienced travel of any form or differences in culture can be close minded and unwilling to change, because the only way of life they understand is their own. I think that we as humans are here to learn from one another, and that is how I would change the world doing what I love. I would make it my goal to simultaneously learn about the way of life of the community I am in at the time, while also spreading knowledge about the ways of others. I would hope to encourage open-mindedness across all cultures, and enable people and communities from around the world to have compassionate and positive thoughts towards those different from them. I think it would make the world a more peaceful place.
