As a child, I had always loved art. I started out wanting to be a video game designer. Somehow that never seemed like enough; like I was supposed to do something more. I had fallen in love with film and graphic design. Moving pictures create a story that’s hard to express in any other way. Being able to bring everything together in an editing room and seeing the finished artwork come to life is pretty incredible.

My friend had fairly recently been working on a project to help the A21 campaign fight human trafficking. He had risen over $90,000 for A21 by selling a book that was filled with his work as a photographer. He took his passion for something he loved to do and created a change, and impacted many people in the process.

I am currently working on a project with a few people to create a short film to raise awareness to human trafficking; recreating the story of a real person who had been rescued from human trafficking. We are currently meeting with different organizations to hear their stories, see their passion.

After graduating with my Bachelors, I plan on moving to Costa Mesa, California to intern at A21 to help out in their graphics and film department to abolish human trafficking.

I know in this process I can impact so many lives for the better. Being able to do something I am passionate about for a cause I believe in would make my life so fulfilling.
