If I could earn a living doing what I loved most, I would continue on the path I am on. I would choose to be a nurse. I know that I can help this world in so many ways. I could stay in Florence, South Carolina for the rest of my life and still make a difference in the world. The kindness that I show each and every patient could be enough to knock over the first domino that pushes a person to make the world a better place. Whether they find a cure for cancer or just help an elderly lady cross the street, it doesn’t matter. I helped them make a difference through my small act of kindness. I might not be Wonder Woman or a superhero, but I hold the power to make or break a person. The great thing about nursing, though, is that I don’t have to stay in one place. I can travel the world and make a difference in this world. I don’t want fame, I don’t want fortune. I just want to be able to look back on my life, in my final days, and feel like I have really made a positive difference in a world that seems so dark at times. If I keep on, down the road I am on, studying and pushing myself to do my very best in my classes, I will be well on my way to leaving a lasting impression no matter where I travel.
