The world is already filled with brilliantly designed cars, yet, with the already brilliant designs and growing types in automobiles this is still my dream job. Safety is the highest priority in the automobile industry and this is where I believe I can make my difference to the world. It takes a crowd to change the world, but a single person brings that method into being. And when it comes to cars I can be that one.

I am majoring in Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology; step one of my process. This program allows me to learn the importance of all parts and materials to a vehicle. Step two is Automotive Systems, to learn functions of each system. Step three is graphic design, to learn to put my artistic Ideas to the test. Finally, I’ll provide not only a more reliable car but one with an appealing style for all generations.

DOT reports show over 6,800 traffic fatalities in the first quarter of this year alone. This translates to about 1 death for every 100 miles traveled within these U.S. Imagine this: the average highway speed in the U.S. is about 70 mph it would take about 1.5 hours to drive 100 miles; provided that you’re driving a constant speed of 70 mph. The average driver is on the road five hours a day, in those five hours there were three fatal accidents in which you or a loved one could have died.

Isn’t that worth preventing?
