My dream is to bring back the emotion into Nursing! The United States has turned the medical field into such a competitive race to earn a buck and has forgotten what Nursing is at its best. If we can remember that patients are people and that they are often at a low point in life, that what we say and how we say it can affect their day in a much more positive way than bringing our personal drama into their rooms does, then we can make much more than just a difference medically. My specific goal is to be a NICU nurse at a Children’s Hospital. I want to bring my own experience dealing with my son’s special needs and share that with family’s that are just starting out on a scary ride in the healthcare field with their child. I want to share a smile and good care and spread the positiveness because sometimes, in the situation of a child being sick…a little positivity goes a long way!
