The day I had a child of my own I knew I wanted to become a Registered Nurse. Providing for others with care and compassion, the way others cared for me, became my dream job. As I grow older and wiser the direction of my passion is changing. After year of experience in bedside nursing, I would now love to become a Clinical Manager in the Maternal-Child Department. The ability to teach and mentor new nurses how to care for mothers and their babies during their life changing experience would be gratifying. Mothers would be more satisfied with their care and obstetric emergencies would be treated before the onset of detrimental effects.
Obtaining my Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix will help me achieve these goals. The leadership and management skills obtained from this education will assist me in qualifying for this position as a manager.
Changing the lives of both nurses and patients as a Clinical Manager in the Maternal Child Department is my dream job.
