. Ever since I was a young child, taking care of people was what I did best. This ignited a passion within me of genuine care and service for all people. As I began to think about what I wanted to do, one day it just “clicked.” It was that the medical field would be a perfect fit for me. Particularly in the field of Nursing.
Nursing involves more than just taking care of sick people. While this is one of the main roles of a nurse they have many others that impact the world. Nurses are the main backbone in healthcare. They deliver important information to doctors and then from the doctors back to the patients. They provide compassionate care for the not only the patients, but for their families too. I believe the families are the patients too, as they are in emotional and physical pain for their loved ones.
For a Nurse, the possibilities are endless for them to grow in the world. They are role models to student nurses and they provide education roles to the people around them. They do research and get involved in their communities which makes a difference in the world.
One aspect that really inspires my desire to be a Nurse, is they bring patient-centered focus to the health care team. While nurses are strong advocates of patient-focused care, this can make a big difference in hospitals around the world. I want to be a part of the difference.
