If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would be a writer. A writer is not simply a person who takes words and places them on paper. A writer takes on the role as an artist who has the ability to create something raw and authentic and translate the words into something formidable, powerful, and significant to life in general. Books are a blueprint of what holds a visceral existence inside a human experience. I want to be a part of that experience. I do not want to run away from it, but delve into what makes the complexity of the world so compelling and strong. Just as music has the unique approach of touching the soul if a person listens closely enough, words can address the deep recesses of what makes us individuals with real desires, hopes, and struggles. People can connect to the raw evolution of words on a piece of paper when an author chooses to write the real story. I want to be that author. My goal to achieve the dream of being a writer is first acknowledging I am one. The next step is to understand, like with many things in life, it will be a journey to reach the reality of my dream, and I am willing to pay the price to do it. Most of all, the goal of being a writer for me is to tell the story that lives within all of us.
