Growing up, I was always an avid lacrosse player. I believe that if I could make a living by playing lacrosse, I would also be more than willing to volunteer my time to teach young kids how to play this beautiful game. As I have gotten older, I have realized that kids tend to get into trouble when they are bored. By helping to develop a youth lacrosse program, I would be giving young children an opportunity to get involved in the sport, but also giving them a structured activity to fill their time and keep them out of trouble. When I was a high school player, I helped coach the local youth program and the kids fell in love with the game. I would always see them walking around town with their sticks in their hands. Also, considering it’s a team sport, there is a type of brotherhood that brings teammates closer together. If I could make a living doing what I love most, I would endeavor to make people as passionate about the game as I am.
