I am fortunate enough to say that I am earning a living doing what I love most, acting. I never expected that my dreams would become a reality but I never wavered in my belief that I could achieve it. I moved from Laredo, Texas to Los Angeles, California at the age of nineteen to pursue my dream. My propensity for hard work and determination helped, I knocked on many doors hoping one would open and one did! I have been a working actress for nine years now and have loved every second of it. I have experienced some amazing things, have met brilliant peers, and have been able to give back in some way. I co-founded a non-profit organization, IBG Inc., a 501(c)(3) focusing on utilizing the power of philanthropy through the arts to benefit a wide range of charities worldwide. We acted as a “fundraiser facilitator” for micro-funded and start-up charities that would otherwise struggle with the logistics and costs associated with event fundraising. For these charities, every dollar was crucial. IBG disbursed nearly $150,000.00 to participating charities all over the world. Unfortunately after six years we decided to dissolve since we had achieved all we could with that entity. However, I’m starting a new endeavor with Moxie Girls Inc., a non-profit organization focusing on empowering marginalized young girls and young women in the Los Angeles area, through education, mentoring, volunteerism, and the arts.
