My ultimate goal for my career is to be a labor and delivery nurse. I absolutely love babies and infants. Anytime I see a baby, whether it is in public or visiting a friend or family member I go gaga. I think they are precious little gifts and I am fascinated by their development. At this time my goal is to become a registered nurse and then after earn my bachelor’s degree. I imagine I may have to work a job that doesn’t fall within my actual goals at first, but I just have a general love of helping people. I took a cna class in 2011 and learned just how rewarding nursing can be. I want to be that nurse that makes every patient’s experience that much easier. I want to be the nurse they remember for making their hospital stay or injury a little easier to manage. I have encountered some medical professionals that have made me feel like a fool and that I was wasting their time. I walked away from those experiences knowing I would never make a patient feel like that. I will be the nurse that puts patients at ease and make whatever dilemma or experience they are going through that much smoother.
