When I was in the fifth grade, my mother decided that parental abduction was more important than me finishing school and having a life that I knew and loved. For a whole year, it was questionable if I would even go back to school or see my father and friends. A year later, we were caught by police and I was reunited with my father. My father successfully tried his best to make everything normal for me again. He got me into the grade I was supposed to be in and he also made sure I had straight teeth. When I got my braces, I hated them and I also did not enjoy the process it took to straighten my teeth, however, after the braces, I felt amazing and my self-esteem was through the roof. I figured out that if I could make other people feel the same way about their teeth as I did, that I would feel as amazing as I did the day my braces came off. I can change the world with this profession because I would create more smiles and boost self-esteem. I would use this scholarship well because I can barely afford to attend school now. I am self-supporting with no help from my parents. When I am able to afford to go to school, I only take a couple of classes so I don’t get too far behind. I would really enjoy going full time and fulfilling my dream of being an Orthodontist.
