My dream isn’t as big as the dreams of many others, but I feel as though it would make an enormous impact on our society. As we live every day we are all reaching a very similar goal of becoming senior citizens. Just the other day, I was listening to a caller on the radio that described the conditions of working at a nursing home, which weren’t pleasant to say the least, but then he added that the cost of living in these facilities, which makes them even more gruesome to bare. Long term care facilities are expensive, and many seniors lack the financial requirements to live in them. Tackling this matter I feel has become my life’s’ purpose. As a freshman in college that has personally dealt with the processes of a long term care facility, with a mother at 65 who suffered dementia, I see the need for quality and low cost nursing homes. My goal is to establish a chain of institutions that cater to the one stage of life that we all should one day encounter. My establishments will provide the comfort of home at an affordable expense, without lacking in one characteristic while providing the other. My current enrollment in college for the program of health service administration is preparing me to provide a revolutionary service in care that will one day soon build my enterprise.
