I have never thought of myself as someone who is able to sit at a desk all day answering phone calls and crunching numbers. After I tore my ACL in high school I knew I wanted to be a Physical Therapist. The problem is it is a six to seven year program. I am a junior in college now and my future is becoming more visible. If I am able to complete my degree and get my doctorate I do not want to be a PT that only works with sports injuries like my own or only the elderly to help them keep their motor functions. My dream is to help people with permanent disabilities. I want to help people who were told they would never walk again. I would also love to help our veterans. Lots of men and women have come home and are still coming home with injuries and I want to help them overcome these injuries they got while defending our Country and keeping us safe. I have been very blessed in my life and I believe that helping these types of people is the least that I can do to help out.
