I was born and raised in East Africa. I came to united state when I was 15 years old to pursue higher education. Growing up in developing country make me to appreciate little things in life and more importantly to enjoy the beauty of nature. To question things like What is my purpose in life? I may not be a person who will find cure for HIV or any other disease humanity can ever face or become a cosmologist and unlocked the mystery of the universe. But let say in alternate Universe there is a possibility of me being a synthetic biologist. Ever since in high school I had been interested in that field. Imagine understanding how our genes behave and based on the information we have we can determine how our life work, and beyond that we can use it to benefit the society. For instance we could use synthetic biology to detect environmental contaminants. We could also apply synthetic biology to applications that would diagnose, monitor and respond to disease in humans and animals. After all to me the meaning of life is to reduce suffering and to reproduce more.
