If I could earn a living doing what I’d love most, I would be a football coach. Football coaches are a combination of several things. They are chess players, generals, preachers, and dads. They take young men (and sometimes women) and mold them into good people. The thought that you can take that many incorrigible minds and turn them into better people is so powerful. To accomplish this dream I need to attend college. Currently I am doing just that and I will have to take classes that relate to that area of study to help prepare me to become a coach. The other goals I would have to accomplish is to become licensed to do CPR and first aid, develop a coaching philosophy that I and my players can believe in, develop a scheme that’s put my players in a position to win every week, and be extremely patient with my players and myself. Nothing in that profession comes easy and some coaches have to wait for many years’ even decades to get the opportunity to inspire those around them. I hope to someday reach the very top of football coaching which is either a tenure at a Division 1 football program or the National Football League. To be able to reach those heights and teach the up and coming generations to be good fathers or mothers, boyfriends or girlfriends, and productive citizens is definitely a worthwhile dream I’m committed to accomplishing!
