Ever since I can remember when adults asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up my immediate answer was a doctor. I definitely love science and I know I want to pursue a career in science but back then my seven year old self was oblivious to the fact that there were other careers that I could pursue. I was determined to become a doctor until three years ago when my dad was detected with prosthetic cancer that I decided to do something else. I remember when he was first detected with cancer my mom tried her best to hide it from my brothers and I and I don’t know why. When she finally told us I felt a big pain in my heart, I was extremely scared for him and I just wanted to do something to help him and cure this deadly disease he had. To this day he is still being treated for it and it is getting better but it has not completely disappeared.
I don’t wish my worst enemy to go through what I went through when I received the horrible news so if there is one thing I would absolutely love making a living out of it would be saving the lives of other people. I want to do research and find a cure for cancer. When I start college I want to begin doing research on cancer and I want to meet people who are interested in the same thing.
