My dream in life is to become a physician, and has been since I’ve seen what medicine could do to help people. I believe what truly set me on this path was when my mom had a stroke. I was by her side for many weeks as I saw doctors treating her to the best of their abilities. I saw her as she rapidly declined in health, when the doctor told me to prepare for the worst, a moment burned in my memory. Then, I saw the miracle that was medicine help save her. She is still with me today, alive with no lasting effects from the stroke. This is what I want to do, help save lives or be there for family members when tragedies strike. Either way, I want to help others in every way possible. My goal is to be an Emergency Room physician. I also hope to become a part of Doctors Without Borders, helping people around the world. I also plan to enlist in the Navy before medical school. If these goals weren’t enough, I aim even higher: to become a politician. Perhaps naively, I hope to become an honest politician, helping people in every way possible, in every aspect of their lives. To achieve these goals, I will study hard, as I have been, and work hard mentally and physically so that I can join the Navy. I will make helping others my life, and that is how I can best reach my dreams.
