One of the challenges that our world currently faces are the treatment and causes of mental illness. We have unlocked the genetics behind it, and have created programs of study to help us better understand the human mind. Even in the past decade we have made scientific breakthroughs to understand and help people diagnoses with mental illness. Unfortunately, we still don’t fully understand the mysteries of the human, and the toughest aspect of it is that mental illnesses don’t always show like physical illnesses. As I attend college and major in clinical psychology, I will strive to earn my doctoral degree to become an official psychologist, after that I plan on opening my own practice to aid children who are diagnosed with mental illnesses. As I progress in my practice, I hope to uncover the secrets of mental illness, proving to the world that mental illness can be as, or even more dangerous than physical illnesses. The reason I want to work with children is so that we can observe and treat the earliest stages of mental illnesses and how it truly impacts humans. With children being typically less experienced and less corrupt than adults, children will exhibit the purest form of the illness in its truest form. I will strive in my practice to aid these children into better understanding themselves and help them live a happy, illness-free life.
