Everyone knows college can be one of the most difficult but worth-wild experiences of any young adult’s life, but nevertheless, throughout the years I have developed a series of plans and goals that will allow me to maximize my chances of becoming a Diplomat for the United States Department of State. Strategically mapping a way for me to reach this destination will take immense focus, to carry out this plan for the future to bounce back and keep fighting until I have successfully accomplished my goals.
When May 2016 arrives, I will have accomplished a 3.8 grade point average, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors from Howard University. Immediately following graduation I will be enrolling into the University of Southern California’s or Georgetown’s Law School with even further intentions on graduating with honors and eyes set on to US Department of State. I will seek externships and employment with NATO, United Nations, International Trade Administration or the World Bank, to increase my opportunities of success.
Once I’ve established my self with diplomatic status, I will develop an international awareness student development center for youth who desire to understand life around the world. I also will develop an organization to serve the less fortunate by means of civil service, education, nutrition and poverty, and disaster relief. By fulfilling these goals I will have accomplished a self-satisfaction that proves to be greater than acquiring a career in the Foreign Service. Giving back is the epitome of self-satisfaction.
