If I could earn a living doing what I loved most, what would I do? That question really isn’t a ‘what if’ question for me. I am going to school to follow my dreams and become an elementary teacher. For years I looked up to all the teachers I’ve had in admiration and always knew that one day I would teach a classroom of bright-eyed students. I want to be one of those teachers that children never forget because I will teach them that it’s okay to follow your dreams in life, even if it might not be the most financially practical choice, as it is in my case. However, I know that no matter how hard life becomes I will be doing something I love and enjoy doing. All I want to do is serve other people and help them to strive to be who they want to be in life. There is one thing I want my future students to learn: a dream can become reality if you set your mind to it and persevere to make your wildest dreams come true. As a wise man, named Walt Disney, once said, “All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them.” I will make my dreams come true no matter what it takes. I just need to have courage, or as put in the Disney movie Peter Pan, “All it takes is faith and trust… oh and just a bit of pixie dust!”
