Life is so fast that we run to catch up to it, just once I would like to run along with life, not trailing behind it. My biggest dream is to study early man and his religious structure, to be able to discover and finally understand where the concept of religion came from and how it evolved over time. History books are being re-written to fill in the gaps of what we now know. Neanderthals were not ignorant, in fact they were far more advanced than anyone has given them credit for. It is my dream to be a part of this discovery. To explore the lives of these early people and reconstruct their daily habits and yearly celebrations. By doing so, we better understand the single point of origin for all religion and can piece together the intricate web of religious and social practices from Neanderthal to us. In this way we will better understand our neighbors in the global community; our children will have more tolerance for the religious practices of others, and our future can be built upon the idea that we are all here, together.
In order to make this dream a reality, I am continuing my education as an adult learner and running through any barriers that are put in front of me. I plan on applying to study abroad programs where these studies are being done and take my family with me. I only hope that my hard work will pay off.
